A Christmas Cry Out

Christmas Day. Fresh, white snow covers our wooded acreage and below freezing temperatures test the limits of water pipes and car batteries. Christmas Day. Not all hearts on this day have the “Holly Jolly” of the world’s empty jingles. Hope came to many of us when the Savior was born in our hearts. Miracles continue to amaze as hearts where Jesus does find room. Lives take 180 degree turns. Peace with God brings peace with others on earth. Jesus came to our broken world, but many have not found Him yet. Was it painful waking up this morning? Is your heart heavy in spite of all the gifts and glitter? Listen with your heart to these full-of-hope words from Psalm 145:

The Lord is near all who call out to Him, all who call out to Him with integrity. He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry for help and saves them (verses 18-19 HCSB).

Unwrap this promise. Cry out to Him.

Watch the miracle of hope and healing grow in your heart.

Merry Christmas!

As a child of God, blessed with rich spiritual legacies in my family and in my husband, David's family, I want to tell "of the Lord to the coming generation; they shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn, that he has done it." Psalm 22:30-31
